Israel 2018 Part 2:
For for the week my mom, grandma, and I stayed near our family in Kiryat Yearim (Telse Stone) It is a small, religious community just Northwest of Jerusalem. Here are some picture of the town.
My mom and I payed a visit to one of the holiest sites in Jewish history, the Western Wall(Wailing Wall);Ha-Kotel. “It is the only remains of the Second Temple of Jerusalem, held to be uniquely holy by the ancient Jews and destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE. The authenticity of the Western Wall has been confirmed by tradition, history, and archaeological research; the wall dates from about the 2nd century BCE, though its upper sections were added at a later date (https://www.britannica.com/topic/Western-Wall)”.
It is customary to write notes and put them in the cracks of the Western Wall. I won’t tell you what my note said, but i’m sure you have some guesses. Here are some picture of the area. We also met up with a former neighbor from when we lived in Natick, Ma.
That’s all for now, i’ll do 1 more blog soon about Israel then some about my trip to Europe and playing EPT events!
